Back in 2014, I decided to pack up my life and move to the Sunshine State! I was so tired of the cold and the snow of the north and I was so ready to live in warmth and sunshine, most of the year. Why did I choose South Florida? Well, first of all, I lived there back in 2004 to 2006 and I was the happiest I had every been, I still had friends down there and I was just ready to get back to a place where I was so happy. One of the other reasons I chose South Florida was because I love to experience culture and South Florida has so much of that!

Today’s post we are going to discuss that Best Places to eat in Hollywood, Florida from all different cuisines. Now I am not one to point you into the direction of a super fancy place, because that is simply not me. I appreciate the flavor of the food, the service provided and of course the budget-friendly aspect of the places we go. I hope you try these places and I promise you, you will enjoy them!

1. Taco Spot

The Taco Spot is my favorite place to get, You guessed it! TACOS! It is located on Hollywood Beach right on the Broadwalk. There is a parking garage very close within walking distance that is very convenient. They have a wide array of different tacos, burritos, quesadillas and drinks. They also an array of side dishes for anyone’s taste buds.

The Taco Spot is listed as #8 out of 533 places to eat in Hollywood Florida from Trip Advisor too. And I know why! First of all the atmosphere is awesome because you can sit there under the tiki hut and enjoy your meal while watching the ocean! Its incredibly relaxing! The food has awesome flavor! In my opinion, I go for the carnitas tacos and now my favorite shrimp tacos, rock my world.

Carnitas Tacos, Shrimp Tacos, Mexican Fries…YUM!

We also LOVE the mexican fries too. They make their own sauces too from a mild to a hot hot sauce to spice up your taco if needed, although not always needed. And let’s not forget their homemade chips that they offer. This is a must do when you come to Hollywood Florida!

2. Los Kausitas

If you like Peruvian Food, or if you have never tried Peruvian food, then this is the place you need to check out. This is a family owned establishment that is very popular here. There are more expensive places that are supposedly better, but I have not experienced that. This is hands-down the best place I have gone too for Peruvian.

We typically get the Lomo Saltado which is an amazingly tender beef sauted with tomatoes and red onions, served with white rice and french fries. PLEASE NOTE: Our recommendation is to ask them to mix the french fries in with the beef and vegetables. The flavor that it gives is amazing! The serving sizes are very plentiful and you get a lot for your money. We always order the fried yuca as well, which is served with the huancaina sauce. They also have many fresh juices available for you to drink along with all the Latin American sodas, such as Inca Cola. Have you tried it?

Because of the family owned atmosphere, the chef always comes out to ask how your meal was. It is perfect every time and we come here at least once a month. We would probably come more often but there are so many places to eat here, we schedule accordingly. HaHa!

3. Las Americas Colombian Restaurant

There is no denying there is a large Colombian population here in South Florida. Luckily, I am with one and he takes me to THE BEST Colombian places here. We have gone to several Colombian restaurants and this one has the best bakery and restaurant. You will find that most Colombian restaurants have both of these aspects with their establishments. It’s awesome because you can just grab and go OR you can sit down, relax and enjoy your meal. Now, Us, we will typically sit and relax, enjoy our meal and THEN go to the bakery and get some things to go! It’s what we do! Our favorite things from the bakery are Bunelos, pan de bono and their delicious cheese bread. The bread is the yummiest loaf of bread, that is baked with cheese inside.

4. Mauros New York Style Pizza

Next up is our favorite Pizza Place which is located in Downtown Hollywood and offers the most authentic New York Style Pizza in Hollywood. This is definitely a no frills pizza place and you can’t even sit inside. If you want to eat inside, then its standing room only. They only accept cash as currency unless your order is $10 or more. You can buy a whole pizza or buy by the slice, with whatever toppings you desire. If you are on your phone, they won’t serve you, but that is common courtesy, get off your phone. They do not have utensils to give you, so don’t ask. I actually really love their matter of fact attitude. Their pizza is yummy and the size of your head and it’s incredibly affordable.

5. The Muse

The Muse is a rooftop lounge that sits atop The Circ Hotel in Downtown Hollywood. The Circ Hotel is a not only a hotel but also condominiums that you can purchase. if you wish. However, we aren’t here to discuss real estate. It is a brand new building and from the top of the hotel, you can easily see the ocean during the day.

We will typically go here on Friday nights because they have an amazing guitar singer that plays the best covers to any song you can imagine. The atmosphere is very relaxed and chill. The service is good, the bar is plentiful and the food that is offered is delicious. They have small plates, like flat breads to share or that you can enjoy yourself. No judgement here. But in all seriousness, we really enjoy rooftop bars because it is the best view in the city and this one in particular is very affordable.

The flatbreads are delicious and the drinks are different. My favorite is a spicy orange drink that they make with tequila and cayenne pepper. I for sure recommend that. Just typing this, I want to go back! HaHa…… So , if you want a nice relaxing night, I highly recommend The Muse. You will have a great ambiance, service, food and drinks.

In Conclusion, I have shared my favorite eateries with you in Hollywood. I hope you check them out and love them as much as I do. There is another place that I very much recommend, but there is so much to talk about that it deserves it’s own post altogether.
